as mental health advocacy increases, so do the misconceptions and stigmas. people go through adverse experiences that can alter the course of their life for good. learning to just continue life with the overwhelming weight of these emotions is a challenge in itself. and it can sometimes feel like you are stuck in surging waves constantly pulling you under after you fight for even the smallest gulp of air. these photographs attempt to portray this feeling of drowning, helplessness, and exhaustion.
